What am I talking about? A genuinely good day.
Okay, here's the lowdown on how the day went:
5:45 AM - Woke up over at the quarterdeck's sleeping room, due to the fact that I was on watch all day yesterday and as such had to be over there. Got relieved from the watch by my friend Penney and went over to the gym.
6:30 - An hour of mixed cardio/weightlifting that I do every Mon/Tues/Wed/Fri morning.
7:30 - Go home, take care of the 3 S's...S***, Shower, Shave.
8:00 - Due to working on the weekend and being on all-day watch yesterday, I was given today off. So, I hopped out for some breakfast, and then hit the Metro.
9:30 I decided to check out this mall I'd heard about at Pentagon City. It first earned kudos from me for having its entrance LITERALLY within the PC Metro stop...no going outside, no bus to catch, just walk in.
It earned further kudos for having much awesomeness.
-4 Floors of stores. FOUR OF 'EM! I *LOVE* MULTI-STORY MALLS! :D :D :D
-Suncoast. One of my prerequisites to even consider giving a mall a 2nd look.
-The Yu-Gi-Oh tin & 5 Soul of the Duelist packs I bought there. The tin turned out to have Japanese cards in it, which brings my total collection up high enough to consider making a Japanese deck, especially considering the special rare that was included in the tin: A promo version of the Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End. The SOD packs weren't disappointing either...while I may have wound up with a SEVENTH Mystic Swordsman Lv 2, I can now stop being jealous of![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
drewtiggy...AS I NOW HAVE A MYSTIC SWORDSMAN LV 4 AS WELL! ^____^
-LARGE food court on the bottom floor. Made for a very satisfying lunch of a slice of pepperoni pizza and spaghetti. Mmmmm...
-And the best part? When I left the mall and went to check out what was out the other end of the Metro stop, I found the mall was split on BOTH SIDES OF IT. Two malls for the price of one! This one was a bit smaller, but it contained a large Border's (book store, where I found a new issue of the Oh My Goddess manga!) and Best Buy (where I found a copy of Super Smash Bros. Melee, both dirt cheap! Thank you military discounts!!!)
1:30 PM - Finally got back over to the Branch Avenue station. While the bus was going to be about an hour before it got there, I decided to go ahead and head back to base on foot. On the way I got to cross a bridge going over the Beltway (I-495/95 looping around the DC area), and just for chuckles, I let a nice little loogie fly, showing my disdain for that hazardous piece of interstate. ..Don't worry, I didn't cause any wrecks. :D
2:30 - Got to the bus stop I usually get off at 2 minutes ahead of the bus. HA! Take that public transit slowpokes!
4:00 - Quit playing SSBM for an hour to watch Yu-Gi-Oh, found the first of my favorite 3-episode-stretch (Raphael Vs. Yugi) playing. I'm SO looking forward to tomorrow's episodes. :D
6:00 - Got back from dinner (Beef Paprika and Rice. Yummy nummers. ^_^ ), sat down, wrote this. :b
Ahhh....life can be good sometimes. ^_^
