This is why I need to learn to listen to myself.
From my entry on July 13th regarding a then-planned trip to GenCon (which, of course, got superseded by the trip to Fan Expo):
I'd be spending more time in airplanes than I would at the convention, and in all likelihood, any recuperation I get from the vacation would be obliterated by the time I got home.
Amount spent on tickets, hotel, and admittance to convention: About $1600.
Amount spent at the convention: Under $50, even after exchange rates.
Add to this the fact that I'm still getting flattened by whatever bug I picked up out there (today being the worst I've felt since my self-induced 35-hour day flying home) and all I can think is I HATE IT WHEN I'M RIGHT.
So yeah, aside from Upset (that card/dice game I picked up), this trip was a horrid idea and I really wish I hadn't done it.
Speaking of Upset, I do have a question for the creators in response to their reply to my FE report: How the hell did you find my LiveJournal account!? I appreciate the feedback, but really...that's just plain spooky.
