xaq_the_aereon: I caught it...now what? (Willexia)

I had what could have been the most epic dream last night...

My mind was apparently trying to give me nightmares at one point, because things spontaneously went dark out of nowhere, and when the lights came up, I was standing in...I can only describe it as an ocean of blood. I heard a blood-curdling shriek behind me, turned around, and there was The King, robes and all, with the Hell-Hydra form sticking out from behind him like some sort of unholy peacock tail. He towered over me a good 30 or 40 feet, bellowing some sort of Cthulhu-esque language and causing tidal waves to surge out from around him with every word.

I thought for sure this wasn't going to end well. The companion who somehow appeared behind me, though, sounded a bit more confident, which alone was enough to calm my nerves. The fact that my subconscious started playing "Vermillion Carousel" didn't hurt either.

"I have found you at last, Tantibus Rex...Nightmare King! My Crimson Breast cries for you to be brought to justice for the souls you have devoured in your madness!"

Sure enough, it was Anghel, in ICPSS form, Saekro'm (which looked like a genuine spear rather than a mapping pen) held firmly in one hand. The other was stretched out towards The King, fingers flicking back in true "bring it" fashion to match the confident smirk on his face.

I drew my sword, and we lept into battle, The King's hydra-heads coming at us from seemingly every direction...

...And, as usual, this was about where I woke up. :[ Dammit.

Holidaystar was an excellent game, but... for this reason and others, I'm so glad it stopped where it did!

Indeed. I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed we're not doing a broadcast this week...I cheated and peeked at the titles of the new short story segments, and now I'm really looking forward to one of them in particular.
