I think it might've been my brain making a rather lousy attempt to restart "Dreams of Zeal". You know, that LJ-based story I was writing about a year or so ago that just ran into a brick wall shortly into it.
Not that that wouldn't have been a cool past life to have...aside from the event in question, anyway. That part would've been nice to leave out.
