One last thing on the job front before I hit the sack. Also, video games.
Given the prolonged silence as far as the TSA goes, I'm convinced I may very well be out of the running for that position.
While the IT position over at the school still isn't open yet, a couple of guys from the maintenance department have quit recently, so I've put in an application for that.
One amusing bit was when I went to list what kinds of equipment I can perform maintenance on. Amid the list of things on there, I decided to sneak in "H-60 Seahawk helicopter" (since I have technically performed maintenance on those in the past) to see if that catches their attention.
It's not the position I want, but it's something I'm used to. Plus, I can carpool with my folks to work since they both work at the school as well (I'd be working right alongside my dad, as a matter of fact), and if/when Sergio (the school's current IT guy) finally gets his work visa approved for the lower 48 and moves on, I should be able to shift over to his position rather easily.
Once I do get a job, I just have one decision to make regarding a very important subject....video games.
On one hand, I wanna get my hands on a PS3 so I can get cracking on some titles I like, such as Devil May Cry 4 and Disgaea 3.
On the other, there's a number of (gasp, shock) XBox 360 titles that have caught my eye of late, most notably Mirror's Edge and, of course, Portal. (Both of which have very fun 2D Flash duplicates, BTW...well, the Mirror's Edge clone is still in the works, anyway)
Until that decision becomes viable, I'll just satisfy myself with my continuing godmode runs through the Breath of Fire series (finished up 2 earlier today...ahh, still my favorite. Surprisingly more fun when I leave my opponents with no chance of beating me thanks to a couple of "modifications" *coughhackedstatscoughcough*) and various titles on Jay is Games.
For now, though? G'night. *CLONK* Zzz...
EDIT: Okay, so apparently I got mixed up on Mirror's Edge. It's a PS3 game, not an XBox game. Makes the decision easy. Sorry GlaDOS, you're not influential enough to sway my decision...especially now that I've got a program capable of running the Windows version on my laptop. :]
