Well, THAT was a brilliant move on my part...I've suddenly found out why those heat-resistant handles on cooking utensils are so popular!
Mom was cooking pancakes (yeah, here they're more a dinner item than breakfast) a while ago, and I went to get a few. One was kinda burnt on in one spot, so I had to grab the skillet handle to keep it from moving while I slid the spatula underneath...unfornutately my grip slipped and my hand slid right onto the NON-heat-resistant part of it!
