KATSUCON REPORT -- Day 2, 7am-3pm

Woke up to a harsh reality check, Con-wise: NOTHING HAPPENS HERE BEFORE 10AM. I went to/got out of bed early for NOTHING! AAAAAAAAGH!!

Oh well, still managed to catch some cool stuff today, such as the ¥25,000 Pyramid. The guests were pretty cool...sadly, unless my mind just went blank on me, there was no describing of Mountain Dew as "...it's geek water, man."

After that, I hit my all-time favorite part of every (total of 2) Con I've ever been to: THE DEALER SHOPS!

First stop: The Wizzywig stand...goodbye pathetic Squall cosplay outfit, hello "3V1L M1N10N" Megatokyo shirt...and refreshed shoulder bruise. Yep, you guesed it, GlomperMiho-chan was there and got all excited to see me again...finally, just as a joke, I asked her if she wanted to go visit my hotel room sometime. ...Next thing I know I go from being glomped to being groped.

Ummm.....Nelly-chan, if you're reading this, please, don't kill me...my asking her WAS joking, but her reaction...umm...apparently wasn't....oo;;;;;; (see the kind of binds my mouth gets me into these days!? Oo;; )

....Still, the atmosphere did help get me over the shock (although did nothing to give me the sense to tell her I wasn't being serious..besides, she'd already taken off after finding out which room I was in. *facepalms* Baka!! ), and I resumed perusing the aisles. Got some nice stuff for Nelly-chan, moped over the fact that I couldn't get any of the weaponry they were selling since it's prohibited on base (@#%()*&)*&!!!!!), and scored some free Pocky for buying a couple of DVDs.

I also won a pair of free VHS vids for...ummm....being in the right place at the right time or something. I just gotta make sure they stay out of sight if that gal shows up tonight, lest she spots the live-play Ogenki Clinic and decides to try and reinact a few scenes on me...

Well, in any case, I can't let that ruin my whole weekend..all I gotta do is find her and try to explain to her I wasn't being serious about it and hope she doesn't decide to break my shoulder..but in any case, I'll hopefully have more to report tonight.

KATSUCON REPORT -- Day 2, 3-6:30

...Wait, WTF? 6:30!? It feels more like 8:30 to me! Wow...the best of both worlds. It's absolute fun AND it's dragging along slower than your average 5 seconds in Dragonball Z.

Still, I suppose it beats my little ordeal with, as Drew refers to her, my fangirl....I'm not really interested in saying how, though. Whether I'm hiding something to save my skin or just showing relief by being a smartass, I'll let you decide, despite the fact that it's plain as day you're all going with option A, ya buncha hentai..

Anywho, after I went back to KC, I caught another of their gameshows, KatsuCon Press Your Luck! They were playing for DVDs, model kits, soundtracks...one of the prizes they had was a massager. WTF!?
Anyway, they also had the most infamous thing of the old game show there, though instead of swiping the little dudes straight off the show, they created their own animations.
2 words describes how nuts they went: WHAMMY YATTA.
(There was also a Whammy Battosai who slashed the whole scoreboard in two and one who sat by a giant panda that ATE the score...but I think it's no contest that the Yatta-ing Whammies animation was the cream of the crop for them.)
Sadly, I didn't get to try my hand at that one...they were only taking people in cosplay outfits.

Speaking of which, I broke my cardinal rule that I'd set for myself: Before the Con I bought 3 one-use cameras, one for each day. By 4:00 I'd burned out the second one and am now on my last one...I'll need to get another one for tomorrow.

However, I must say that compared to ACen '03, my photography skills are getting hellaciously better. (If nothing else, none of these pictures are gonna turn out blank!)
