Fleece Navy Duds, all!
24 Dec 2004 22:43RANDOM BIT OF HOLIDAY SILLINESS: *upon opening this LJ entry, you suddenly find a complete, neatly pressed, and folded set of 1950's Navy Dress Blues in your hands/paws/tentacles/whatever, made to fit you perfectly! Now you can spend the holidays looking like the guy on the Cracker Jack box!* I know I meant to say "Feliz Navidads", but this works too perfectly! :D
Anyway, I just wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a Happy (if, for some, belated) Winter Solstice, Kwanzaa, Hannukah, St. Lucia's Day, Ramadan, Pupil's Day, Darya, and O-misuka! ...Oh yeah, and Merry Christmas too.
...Whew. What a holiday thus far. I know for a fact I won't be getting any presents tomorrow, but I don't really care. I've already gotten all I can ask for this season.
-My parents have offered to cosign a loan application to get a new car, and when that fell through the cracks, they've offered to pay for the repairs on my Camaro.
-I spent a few minutes earlier tonight talking with Nelly, my former girlfriend whom, I've finally realized, I still love. We didn't talk about much, and I don't know if she still has those same feelings for me, but it was wonderful to be talking to her again in any case. ^___^
-Despite all that I have in life to bitch about, I've still got my friends, my health, and (somehow) my sanity. Not something I can argue with.
-On a lesser, yet still awesome note, I found a lone copy of the Yu-Gi-Oh! movie at the AAFES store the other day, with a copy of the "Pyramid of Light" trap in it! Now I've actually got the means to make a halfway-decent Sphinx deck if I ever choose to. I just wish I'd held onto the receipt so I could possibly take advantage of the offer inside to get 3 more cards for free. Oh well...one wasn't usable in a deck anyway, another wasn't all that useful at all, and the 3rd one I didn't have much use for in any of my decks, so.....meh.
So yeah, while it's not the greatest Christmas ever, since it's the first one I've ever spent away from my family, much LESS by myself, I can't complain about it all that much.
Besides, I don't have to watch "A Christmas Story" this year, something I will be eternally thankful to every supernatural force in the universe for.
So once again, from me and every catgirl on the face of the planet...MEOWY CHRISTMAS! ^_^
