Whoa. Weirdness. o.o

Partway through some random chatting with some friends, whatever part of my brain stored last night's little nightmare fired up and reminded me of what I dreamt of.

Said dream was a sign that I've been playing Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories too much.

I was in a mall, as usual...only there was a new addition...which, again, was normal. Seems this mall that occurs so often in my dreams is always getting new add-ons. In this case, it was.... a door. I try to go in to check the new shop out, and get nabbed by these guys in black cloaks. I quickly recognize them as (Names squelched for spoiler purposes) from KH:CoM, but before I can say anything or put up a fight, I'm hit with...something....and it's lights out.

I come to (...in a way) in a dungeon. I recognize the design of the place as being part of Castle Oblivion (which is weird, because it actually looked NOTHING like it). As I'm hanging there wondering how I'm going to get out of this, a card comes flying at me, hitting the shackle on my right arm and destroying it. Without a moment's hesitation I grab the card and give the one on my left the same treatment.

Its then that I notice that I recognize the card....it's not one of the ones used in KH:CoM, but rather the Three of Pentacles from my Unicorn Tarot deck. At the door to my cell is the rest of the deck. Without a moment's hesitation, I grab the deck and run.

And, sure enough, run into a huge swarm of Heartless. I think about what to do for a moment....then it comes to me. I know exactly how this deck works. It's just like the set of Minor Arcana spells I'd designed for an RP character once (which somehow failed to clue me in that this was a dream.). Now let's see here.....Cups for healing, Pentacles for protection, Staves for magic.....I decided to see just how effective the suit of Swords would be against the Heartless.

Just as I hoped....I pull out the King of Swords, which transforms into my ultimate weapon. ...It's then, as the blade rolls right off a Heartless' body, that a small problem dawns on me. Said weapon has no edge to it.

....Sleights! That's it, I figure! I'll try doing a card combo with something else! I figure the Staves might actually have some sort of enchantment effect, so I chain the 8 of Swords with the 3 and 4 of Staves....the blade of my sword catches on fire, with a long string of fire coiling around my wrist. I shrug and give the blade a fling....turning it into a bit of a fly-by-wire missile.

With this at my side, things don't take much longer before I finally find the front door......blocked. By myself.

Or rather, by my online avatar, Will Rennar. Same deck, same weapon....just a lot cooler looking and a lot stronger. I charge at him while ordering him to stand aside.

He responds by putting his blade straight through my chest. Shellshocked, I dangle there, spasming as the life seems to slip from my body, watching the pool of blood form on the floor....

And bolt up in bed, accompanied by a short scream.



.....Disturbing. Only made worse by the fact that my nightmares tend to repeat themselves over a long period of nights. ;.;
