28 May 2008 13:09So in about 2 months time, I'll be departing from the lower 48 for at least a few months. I figure staying in touch with old friends won't be hard...I've got my phone, right?
Well, not so much...turns out Nome, AK isn't in T-Mobile's area of coverage. In fact, the only thing up there is AT&T.
So, at the moment, I'm left with 2 options for what to do.
1) Unlock Hotwire (nickname for my phone due to all the Decepticon overtures) and try to get it usable on whatever AT&T plan I get, even if all the features would go dead.
2) Slag Hotwire and get a new phone with the new plan.
The big problem I'm having here is that, as difficult as option 1 will be.......dammit, I LIKE this phone!
Merf...what a bum-out.
