Irony strikes again!

In my last entry, I mentioned that I'd be applying for a maintenance position over at the school to hold me over until the IT position opened up.

This morning I find out the position'll soon be opening up.

Dad's home.

He spent last week back in Iowa taking care of some stuff in our old hometown. Family's doing good, although my Uncle Mike apparently believes himself to be married to a non-existant Amish woman, to which I just...well, this is Uncle Mike I'm talking about. Always been a bit goofy.

Came back with some goodies, including a nice and warm winter coat for each of us. I get the feeling I just might be getting some use out of it up here. Dunno what gives me that idea.


Now I just sit here websurfing, waiting for him and Mom to tire out and go to sleep. Maybe then the house'll quit shaWARNING. TMI ALARM HAS BEEN TRIGGERED. INITIATING SUBJECT CHANGE.

I'm just glad to see he made it home, though. Any time I'm back up here, I get a bit nervous when either of them is gone for longer than my brain tells me they should be, and..well, he's been gone about a week longer than my brain said he should have been. XP
