15 Feb 2009 17:00Well, my employment issues are once again resolved....temporarily.
The head of the school district's tech support crew has once again asked me to help her out for a week or two with a few things. Naturally, I agreed to.
I'm actually regretting that decision, though. Mostly because she told me flat-out that she didn't feel confident that I was up to the task of taking the full-time position that I've been gunning for.
My mom's convinced that the recent budget crunch has them not wanting to hire ANYONE on full-time for it, and that, all in all, I'm basically just being used here, and I have to admit, I agree with her. It -does- feel like I'm just being used for their convenience. Whether it's that or something else, something about this is just rubbing me all sorts of wrong ways.
Oh well. With a little luck, I'll eventually get the TSA position or something else that'll take care of my income issues.
It's kinda funny, though. Just the other day I was telling my dad how I didn't really care -what- kind of job I got, since if I'm gonna be bored and miserable here at home all day, I might as well be doing it elsewhere and getting paid for it. Boy howdy, how those words have come around to bite me in the ass, it seems...well, we'll just have to see how it works out.
