Yesterday and today have proven to be rather insanity-inducing. With Mom still on a family-visit down in the lower 48 and my dad having to fly down to Anchorage for VA hospital appointment, I've had the whole place to myself....which was much less mind-numbing back in the Navy, but then again, there I had WoW and employment to take up my time. Up here all I've had is insomnia. X.x
Did find one good thing to break the monotony, however: AMC was doing a marathon of some vintage Sherlock Holmes films, starring Basil Rathbone. Damn those things were good. :]
Sadly, no such luck today, so until Dad flies back home later tonight, I'm pretty well shanked for staying sane. In the meantime, I've opted to move my desktop out into the computer room so that I can hook it up to the Internet and download a few things onto it (mainly the security updates it keeps bitching at me to get and some means of playing games that require a 32-bit processor on this 64-bit headache). Maybe that'll finally get a few things I bought months ago running.
Anyway, ciao.
