As mentioned a while back, PS3 quit working. Today, I finally decided to quit farting around with it and went to Sony's website to fill out the form to get it serviced.
One small problem: They require a physical address to ship the fixed product back to, and cannot accept PO boxes...however, literally everyone in Nome uses a PO Box. To top that off, I can't even use my physical address, since apparently "Round the Clock" is not recognized by these high-nosers as an actual street (which, of course, it is).
Long story short, official fix-it channels aren't an option for me. So my options are
A) try and fix it m'self
B) hope I can get one of you lot to fix it (with initial thoughts turning immediately to
drewtiggy for various reasons)
C) try to get one of you lot to act as a surrogate address
D) say the hell with it and stick to my other consoles
or E) bite the bullet and buy a new one.
On a related note, I have recently finished the PS2 re-run of Breath of Fire IV I started after my BoF III re-run on my PS3 decided to rudely interrupt, and have since started yet another BoF III re-run. As of the present, I am a decent ways past where I was on the PS3...between that and my overall lack of interest in just about anything the PS3 has to offer, I'm strongly leaning towards option D.
