Well, this day's not going quite as well as yesterday, I'm sad to say....first and foremost, I've done a spectacular job of spraining my right foot on the outer side. It's become a bit painful to walk...thank you, Lord, for giving me the sense to have most of the stuff I wanted to go to while I'm here within a short enough distance to handle said walks. At least I've got that much going for me.
Aside from that, I went down to Showcase Mall today...to find out it's not really what I'd call a mall. It's got an awesome M&M store in it and an equally awesome Coca-Cola store, but the main thing I'd wanted to check out was Gameworks, being lead to believe it was some sort of gaming store for stuff like Magic: the Gathering and console games and whatnot...
...It's a freakin' humongous arcade. Normally that'd be awesome, but between my foot and how it's nothing like what I was wanting to find, I was thoroughly disappointed...then I realized that this meant getting the gaming-related stuff I'd wanted was going to require a trip to Fashion Show Mall or Boulevard Mall, both of which were a long way away...which meant a whole lot of walking.
My foot is very very not happy with me right now, to say the least. At least I finally had the sense on the way back to hire a cab; not only was that a relief on the foot, but the driver was a pretty cool guy. Good conversationalist, fellow geek, and unlike a lot of cabbies I've seen, not afraid to take the shortest route possible. I was expecting a $25-30 fare for the ride, but the meter pegged at 10. I handed him a twenty anyway, told him to keep the change....what can I say, that kind of service deserved it.
That's all for now...tonight, Zumanity. Tomorrow, who knows? :]
Oh, and it seems I was wrong about last night giving me a rabbit-phobia. (Just so long as they aren't demonic and/or clockwork rabbits, anyway...but those are kinda creepy anyway.)
