A while back we got last month's Internet bill. It was supposed to be $80, but due to over-usage on downloads, it was a bit higher...$130 higher, in fact, due to using 16GB of our 10GB limit. ouch. Even worse, found out today that, only halfway through this billing cycle, we were over 6GB, which brought to mind 2 questions.
1) What the f@#%?
2) No, seriously, what the f@#%?!
Solved that problem two-fold today, however. First, after confirming my suspicions of somebody in the neighborhood piggybacking on our connection (to go that badly, I must've been fueling someone's WoW addiction or something! O_o;; ), I finally made the common-sense move of password-locking our router. Secondly, after a quick visit to our local ISP, our service plan now costs $100 a month...but gives faster connection speeds (yay!) and a 15GB download limit as a result.
This news is most pertinent to
kjorteo, since it means that being at this weekend's virgin sacrifice to Yogg-SothothLP video chat will no longer be any kind of an issue.
