Oy, with the shaking and the hurting and the kvetching!

So, for the first time in years, and the first time since I moved to Nome, I went out to the Cripple River Mining Camp today. Was great to see the place again, to taste Chip's absolutely spectacular spaghetti, and just enjoy myself there again...sadly, my throat's been arguing with me the past few days, which left karaoke out of the question. :[

More to the point, however...as much fun as I had there, the trip to and from was utter hell due to how rough the beach is (it's about 15 miles out of town along the beach to get there). I'm honestly surprised my ATV didn't rattle itself apart mid-journey.

Fun as it was...if the beach is still like that next week, I think I'll pass. X_x
