Ugh, finally.
30 Aug 2012 16:30Okay, so apparently what happened to me over the past few days had to do with the last solid meal I've had in a week; doctors diagnosed it as gastroenteritis, aka stomach flu. Ugh.
It's had me laid out the past couple of days, but today I was finally able to get myself going again, and got to attending class at UAA. I've learned a few things from all this so far:
-I am never eating at that particular place again, even if this was a one-off incident.
-I wasted $125 on my parking permit; all 4 of my classes this semester are off the main campus, and none of them require a permit.
-Apparently the courses I'm taking to learn how to manage an airport are also going to have me learning how to fly a plane...although, given that one of my classes is "Private Pilot Ground School," which I have to be at in an hour, this is hardly a surprise. (Not quite sure why this is on my course syllabus, though...oh well.)
Anyway, the long and short of it is that I'm pretty sure I'm getting better.
UPDATE: After my 2nd class tonight, I got hit by the damnedest urge for Arby's, which told me something I've been waiting for for days: my appetite was back. 3 hours and no ill effects later, I think it's safe to say I'm getting back to normal. Staying on the meds for the next few days just in case, but I'll take what I can get!
Anyway, note to self for tomorrow: Get books for classes.
