Spent some time earlier today out at the Anchorage Museum. I hadn't been there in a few months, and I wanted to see if they'd added any new displays, particularly any of a dinosaur fossil variety.
While that wasn't the case, I couldn't help but feel that this compulsion to go there wasn't a coincidence once I saw some new paintings they were displaying. Apparently, a local artist (Susan something, can't remember her last name :[ ) has a thing for pigeons, because she had 2 very beautiful peristeronic pieces on show.
One looked like a huge flock of them resting on window sills on the side of a building...with a few more resting in some urinals stationed atop it. Weird, but still a very nice piece.
Pity they have a no-cameras policy. :[
