I'm not entirely sure what brought this to mind; I was perusing Tumblr for a bit, came across a post someone made comparing the characters from some anime to the Seven Deadly Sins, and my brain just took a left turn and decided to see if our favorite bunch of birds meshed up with them in any way.
The more I thought about it, the more I realized they did:
WRATH: Kazuaki Nanaki (either one)
-I'm sure Murderbeaks seems a more proper fit here to some, but think about it; he doesn't do any of his evil out of anger or rage...in fact, I'm not entirely convinced he's capable of feeling emotions at all anymore. Hitori, on the other wing, murdered Kazuaki and stole his identity, and nearly did the same to Shuu, in order to avenge Nageki's death and get him back, while the original Kazuaki...well, you all saw what he became when a certain 1-Wis girl and her dead dove friend tried to ruin his holiday.
SLOTH: Le Bel Sakuya Shirogane
-You probably thought Nanaki-sensei worked better here, but come on. Exercise? Cleaning? Following his dreams? Doing anything other than being his fanciful self is for pheasants; so far below him.
ENVY: Kawara Ryouta
-HolidayStar episode 4-4. Case closed.
GLUTTONY: San Oko
-Obsessed with pudding. Need I say more?
LUST: Sakazaki Yuuya.
PRIDE: Higure Anghel
-He believes himself to be a divine being, cast out from heaven. His whole world view is focused around his own opinion of how things should be...how much more self-centered can you get?
GREED: Iwamine Shuu
-He cares for nothing but his own knowledge, even so far as to be willing to sentence the rest of the crew to an eternity trapped on the HolidayStar just so that he could learn all he could about it...all for himself.
