After classes finished last night, I noticed the Battery Warning light on my dashboard. It went off when I gave the car some extra gas, and came back as soon as I was off the power...all annoying familiar, as the same issue happened with my old Camaro once. As I feared, the problem was my alternator going bad. Fortunately, however, I caught it almost on the onset of the problem, giving me plenty of time to get it fixed. While it was too late that night to get a new one installed, I was able to pick one up from O'Reilly's to get installed this morning.
Finding a place that could get it installed, however, proved tricky, as every place in this part of town was booked solid for the whole day. I finally decided to go with the Midas station just down the street from here. They gave me an estimated time of about 6 PM to have that done, meaning I'd need transportation for the day. They had no problems giving me a lift to a local Enterprise rental center, and about 20 minutes and another $120 later, I was on my way, ready to head to my first class at 1 and my 2nd, out in Eagle River, an hour from now.
...That was all at about 9 AM this morning. At 11:15, I got a call from Midas about my car.
Namely, it was good to go.

While the guys at Enterprise were understanding about it and cut the price in half, I still wound up paying $60 to drive a rental car six miles. Thanks a lot, Midas. :[
On a side note, proof that God exists and has a really sick sense of humor:
Guess which car maintenance company sent me a flier in the mail today?
