Well, that was interesting.

First snowfall of the year. The snow itself isn't anything to worry about, but given how Alaska drivers seem to forget how to drive on the stuff the instant there's no more of it on the road, I've opted to spend the 3 hours between classes today on-campus rather than risk things going to hell on the commute home or back.

I've still got an hour before I have to be at my next class, so I decided to try a speed run of Super Mario Bros. 3 (via Super Mario All-Stars) to pass the time.

Long story short: No savestates, no speed-ups, no deaths...never even got hit until I opted to jump through Bowser on his suicide swan-dive through the floor so as not to down with him...all completed in 22:17.7.

In my defense, had I known that I was only going to need the Warp Whistles, I wouldn't have wasted time with all the other items I got (including a perfect run on an N-Spade mini-game), which would have shaved at least 3 minutes off.

*shrug* Now to find something else to do before Calculus.
