At least this time it's not due to any inane fears or anything...I've just genuinely had a difficult time putting this conundrum into words. So, to try and get past that, I'm posting this while really freaking tired so that maybe I can just bulldoze through the mental blocks...or maybe I'll just wind up talking gibberish and give people a good laugh. Win/win either way.
Anyway...as you guys know, I finally acknowledged myself as a furry a few days back. Since then, I've had an inkling to draw a fursona for myself.
...And I have no idea what to draw. I put pencil to paper and my brain just does this.
This seems pretty ridiculous given that, as the icon above shows, I ought to already have one...but when I think about it, Darius (the golden retriever in said icon) just doesn't feel right for me anymore.
On one hand, it definitely seems like something canid would be proper, like a wolf or something (nowadays when I look at that icon, I swear they look more like pointy wolf-ears rather than floppy retriever-ears), but at the same time, something winged also feels appropriate. I'd considered a phoenix, given that my usual online persona, Will Rennar, canonically is one, but no amount of Hatoful exposure makes a beak feel quite right for me.
I get the distinct impression that, whatever I wind up settling on, it may very well wind up being some kind of chimeric amalgamation of a few things, like a hippogryph or a manticore or something.
Maybe I'll get lucky and something'll come to mind in my sleep tonight.
Or maybe I'll just be killing those fucking ninjas in the hotel again, who knows.
