xaq_the_aereon: I caught it...now what? (Duel Disk)

Q&A: Woobie shoobi-doo-wah.

Let's face it: we all had something very close to us that helped us get through those rougher points in childhood, our proverbial security blankets. A lot of us, including most of you I'm sure, had rather interesting ones.

In my case, it was a wooden sword my dad made for me. It was supposed to be a wooden replica of the Master Sword from Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, but my dad botched on it ever so slightly, giving it a somewhat more unique look. It ultimately served as the blade for my character Asura, seen here. I added a little to the hilt, obviously (the bit on the side of the guard isn't there and the bottom of the hilt is just a black ball), but the blade's spot-on, including that weird-shaped notch on it. Back when I had it, though, it was my favorite toy, giving a sense of security against some of the worse things in the world (real and imagined), plus it was rather nicely balanced, making practicing with it practical and, quite honestly, very enjoyable.

Well, that's enough about my security blanket...what were yours?

It's been in a storage facility back in Iowa ever since my family moved up here. Last time I saw it was before I shipped off for boot camp. That sketch I linked is the closest thing I've got to a photo of it.
