xaq_the_aereonJust read a news article about the upcoming season of Doctor Who (you got big shoes to fill, Matt Smith!), and apparently the Weeping Angels are returning.
For those who don't know, these were the alien creatures du jour from the infamous episode "Blink". They look just like statues, even to the point of being completely immobile if anyone's watching them.
If nobody's looking at them, however, they can move insanely fast. We're not talking "Olympic athlete sprinting" fast. We're talking "You look at one half a mile away from you. You blink. It's in your face." fast. And the moment they make the slightest contact with you? BAM. You're gone.
This, for the record, is the biggest reason this episode remains one of the most horrifying of the series, and the reason why the thought of those things making a return has me writing up this post for the simple reason of griping about the fact that NOW I'M NOT GONNA BE ABLE TO GET ANY FREAKIN' SLEEP TONIGHT. X_X Damn nightmare-loving subconscious.
At least I don't have to be back at work until Wednesday....I'm probably gonna need it.
