xaq_the_aereon: I caught it...now what? (Viridian)

HAHAAAA!

Problem solved! ...Well, sufficiently, anyway.

Apparently the problem was that in trying to get the whole road animation done in a single 10,000-pixel-wide segment, I'd made it way too big for the video program to handle. By dicing it down into a repeatable 1925-pixel pattern it looks MUCH better. Still a smidge blurry, but everything's perfectly visible.

As for the background...I was originally gonna have it scroll by at a slower pace to go for that cheap 3D look, but y'know what? It looks just fine standing perfectly still.

Now all I gotta do is make & add in the signs that'll have the credits on them (and the template for those has been finished for days), tack it onto the end of the video lineup, and 3 months of work is...

...Wow. I never thought I'd say this...

...done. O_o

so where is it?!

Still on my desktop. Like I said, still got some final details to finish up. I'd say I'm past the 90% mark, though.

It just sank in on me right at the end of that last paragraph that something I thought I'd never finish is right on the verge of completion. I imagine it's kinda like someone running their first marathon and, after what feels like forever, they turn a corner and BOOM there's the finish line just a few blocks away.

It's strange when a project makes that transition :) It's difficult to get used to it as behind you - and on some of mine (as I do things so out of sequence), the moment when I've finally actually connected them all up with no gaps left often comes as a complete surprise.
