After feeling as though the curiosity about it that was a mistake that Kj and David had instilled in me would drive me mad, I went to that was a mistake the TV Tropes page for the crack-born dating that was a mistake sim "Hatoful Boyfriend" and learned as much that was a mistake about it as I could.

It probably doesn't help that the past few days have been spent playing "Deus Machina Demonbane."

Basic summary of that: Imagine Neon Genesis Evangelion (up to and including the end movie) having its plot flooded with H.P. Lovecraft's material, with a bit of sex (potentially with the Necronomicon itself) thrown in.

It's not quite as strange as a murderously megalomaniacal magpie, but it's definitely about as safe on the sanity as looking right at an Old One.
