Spent most of the afternoon with some new-found friends at Tier 1 Games, my favorite gaming store here in Anchorage, giving my YGO deck a whirl. Did a lot better than I figured it would, I have to say, but after a while I felt the need to come back home.

On the way I got passed by a VW Beetle that had gotten some rather unique bodywork done. The doors had fins, the roof had a fin, the trunk had a tail with an extra pair of fully-functional brake lights and turn signals on the end, and it was painted black and white.

In short, it was a VW Beetle Orca.

This happened about 2 hours ago...I had to wait until now to post this because it wasn't until now that my brain finally accepted the fact that yes, that happened.

(EDIT: Immediately after posting this I googled "VW Beetle orca" and found a photo someone had of it. Now you can share in my confusion! :D)

(completely ignoring the orcar) Oh, cool, you play Yu-Gi-Oh! What sort of deck do you run? I used to play a lot about four years ago, when I used to work at a gaming store; I had a generic attack-with-monsters-type deck, and a silly control deck based around Amebas. :P Now I have a Fairy deck, but it's basically three of the Structure Decks mashed together; I missed all the Tuner/Synchro stuff and I'm still getting to grips with the XYZ ideas.

I run a deck themed off of Yusei's Synchro Monsters from the 5Ds anime, using Junk/Quickdraw Synchron as the means of bringing them all out.
