One of those weekends it seems.
As everyone on Team Hatoful knows, I typically do my laundry prior to our video sessions. Since I was late getting up this morning, though, I had to do it afterwards.
While I was over there, I found I didn't have any funds for getting a snack...all I had was an extra quarter. Enough to get a gumball, though, so I figured I might do that. Who knows, maybe I'd get lucky and get one of their $1 or $5 prize balls instead! (Seriously; this gumball machine had a few plastic balls in it that had a 1- or 5-dollar bill inside them.)
Got a gumball. Shrugged, got it, popped it in my mouth...and got stupid and tried chewing it to soften it up a little.
The end result? One of my teeth chipped instead.
It's nothing serious, mind you. It doesn't hurt, I can eat just fine, and I can handle ice-cold water and such with it no problem...it's not painful or irritating, it's merely...y'know...there. Or not there, as the case may be. I only notice it if I run my tongue over that spot, and even then it's just "Oop, yeah, there's something missing there." The VA does offer limited dental services, so with any luck I can get this re-crowned (tooth already has a crown on it from ages back), but if not, I'm not terribly concerned about it.
Still...stupid @#%!ing gumball. :[
UPDATE: Ahh dammit, the filling's starting to wiggle. I should be fine through tomorrow, which would be great since the VA won't be open until Monday.
2ND UPDATE: Oh shit, they probably won't be open until Tuesday...I forgot that tomorrow's a federal holiday. :[
