Earlier today, The University of Alaska Anchorage's Aviation Department received a new piece of equipment: a Boeing 727 donated to the college by FedEx. A big to-do was made about its arrival at Merrill Field, the municipal airport this facility is connected to, this afternoon...something which I opted to pass on.
I mean, as an educational tool I can see a multitude of benefits with it, and it does look pretty cool, but at its most basic level...it's an airplane landing at an airport.

If it had been Air Force One, I might have been impr--well, no, not really. I got 2 years worth of an eyeful of that thing back at Andrews.
