Oh dear, it seems Lillie's run off somewhere. To find her, I had to go through an area filled with FOE-style encounters where, if you were in a Pokemon's shadow, it would divebomb and attack you.
...Just kidding, I took the outer route and dodged that mess entirely for now. Melemele Meadow's annoying enough; it's home to one of the four varieties of Oricorio, a bird-dancer type of Pokemon that can change styles (and thus types) by using the Nectar from the 4 Island Meadows's flowers. The ones on Melemele are Pom-Pom style, which makes them Electric type.
Catching them's usually a pain, but fortunately I have Gastly's Hypnosis to utilize.
The main reason I'm here, however, is that Nebby's gotten out of the bag again and run off. So, off I go to find the cave they ran into.

A Lv 13 Furfrou...against a party that's averaging Lv 16 with Serenity leading the way at Lv 20. *facepalms* Druse, you poor poor androgynous dear... (No, seriously. I have no idea what either of them are. They have on full-on hazmat suits.)
...Okay, how did it use Baby-Doll Eyes with that mop over its face? Well, no big deal, I'll just let Bella exploit its Fighting weakness with Brick Brea--
It just one-shot Bella with Headbutt despite being 4 levels lower.
Right. That's it. Gastly? Kill the bitch. First a bit of Hypnosis to put it to sleep, then a few rounds of DOT via Curse to, well, put it to sleep.

These guys don't even know what a Pokemon Battle is? Okay, I am now 65535% convinced they are not from this world. (The fact that, on further examination, that blue stuff is THEIR SKIN rather than a face mask only adds to this.)
Well, at any rate, at least they're still on friendly terms, and Nebby's back in the bag, so all is well OH HI HAU. Great, he wants to battle again...and his starter's still a Litten. Oh dear, I think this might be a massacre.

*sweeps the remains of Hau's Litten, Pikachu, and Noibat up for him* Well, I was right. ...Wait, there's Noibats here? *pulls up Serebii* Ah, Verdant Caverns...hm. Might have to make a detour. Hmm...eh, later.
Right now, back to cleaning up the trainers on Route 3 so I can take on this one Ace Trainer. With everyone else a few levels below my party (aside from Floof, the recently-caught Oricorio), it'll be nice to face a challenge.
Case in point, Rising Star Joshua took me and Serenity on with a Growlithe.

Bye-bye, Growlithe. ...Oh, that was the last one. Okay, back to Ace Trainer Makana then. Says he's gonna show me the power of the move "Roost," meaning his 'mons are gonna heal in battle and be Flying-type.
Oooooor he could lead with a Slowpoke. *sighs* Obsidian, be a dear and clear the riff-raff with a few rounds of Bite? Now, let's see what his Flying-type is...
Butterfree? Okay then, so much for the promise of challenge. Icy Wind should do the trick.
Or it could boost itself with a first-turn Silver Wind and then keep Roosting to recharge its HP...okay, so still no challenge, just tedium.
Oops, it used Silver Wind again. No Roost to save you now.
With a little post-battle Pokemon Refresh to celebrate, everyone goes up a level of Affection...including Serenity, who is now maxed out. Yay! :D Oh, and we got Roost to boot. ...Yay? o.O
Anyway, after playing a bit more with the Rockruff outside of Iki Town, it's time to take on the Grand Trial...
