Little bit of a punch to this Sailor's gut.

This Navy chaplain honestly makes me kinda ill.

Word of advice, Sir: Matthew 6. Read the first few verses some time.

*groans* Baka.

"When I end a formal prayer with 'in Your most holy name we pray,' does Jesus not know who I'm talking to?" asked Wilmot.

He wins.

Also, your recommended Bible reading seems highly appropriate to me.

This kind of baloney is why I'm not a religious person.

I consider myself one of the "involuntary" listeners of ANY prayer, on or off ship, in or out of the military. I don't make waves simply to maintain a professional appearance.

Apparently my bad habit of slapping an erroneous believer with their own Scripture hasn't gone away completely.

But yeah, that's one of my favorite sections to use for said slaps, even though for some reason I keep swearing it's chapter 9.

And yes, Wilmot SO wins.

CHAPLAIN: This we pray in Your name...
JESUS: ....Oh wait, that wasn't my cue, was it?
GABRIEL: Umm, I'm pretty sure it WAS, actually.
JESUS: Whoops...

....*snickers at the sheer stupidity of that thought*
