xaq_the_aereonHeeding the wisdom of a certain tiggy, I went out today and picked up a PSP, Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness, and Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles.
D:AoD I am loving, especially with the hilarity ensuing in Etna Mode. (That one prinny's rendition of "Good god, dood!" CRACKED. ME. UP.) However, between wanting to go full-munchkin on it and having Phoenix Wright 2 & 3 to finish, it's getting shelved until such time that I can accomplish said munchkining...which I'm a bit lost on doing since there don't appear to be any Action Replay/etc. codes available and (even more problematic) the AR I bought requires a hook-up to a Windows PC. (I, of course, use an Apple.) Sunuvabiscuit. :[
Castlevania I'm not so happy with. Rondo of Blood is a bit TOO oldschool CV for me (my main problem with the old CV games was my constant record of achieving Game Over in record time...which is still holding true here.), but that was fine with me, since the whole reason I bought it was SotN....but ohhh no, some dipshit had to go and make it so you have to do some crazy shit in RoB to unlock SotN. Crazy shit which I have neither the skill nor patience for.
So yeah...bought a PSP and 2 games I was looking forward to, and it is already getting shelved. WOO! :D

Date: 3/7/08 02:11 (UTC)Disgaea doesn't really require cheating to break, though. Just a bit of patience. All N1 games have some way of going haywire on them, and in most cases it's available before the end of your first cycle. (Hint: Invincibility panels and ally kills. Also, humanoid characters get bonuses to the stats of weapons based on their weapon skill.)
