I think my PS2's on the fritz. Specifically, the video portion of the A/V cable. Either that or the switchbox it's hooked up to.
Reason I think this: I'm in the middle of a battle in BoF4 with a large group of Goos. 2 Eye Goos (resident wimp of the game), 2 Mage Goos (take Eye Goos, paint 'em red, and give them the weakest Fire spell in the game.), a Nurse Goo (significantly stronger, but only defends or uses a healing spell), and a Black Goo (stronger still, uses a variety of "I KILL YOU" attacks). No problem, really. The Nurse Goo and Black Goo would die in one hit from Ryu and Scias, and Cray could wipe the rest with a Rock Blast spell...but before I get done selecting commands for the round, the screen fades to black and my TV pops up the little blue "No Signal" window.
Some intense wire-jiggling and one wallop to the switchbox later, the picture's back. Still...WTF?
UPDATE: Problem found! Turns out there was some dust on the connector between the A/V cable and the PS2. A little old-school NES Dust Removal Technique (translation: blow on the connector) and all is right with the world once more!
Also, finished BoF4. Now playing through Kingdom Hearts 2 again.
