Uhhhh...........huh.

Apparently the anti-virus software my mom installed on her computer has done the ultimate job in protecting her from all the malicious software on the Internet...by removing the computer's ability to -connect- to the Internet entirely.
I'm having a bit of difficulty grasping what the hell just happened, but suffice to say that she's out in the living room going slightly bonkers, while I'm...well, I'm just hiding in my room for now, seeing as I haven't got the slightest clue on how to fix this problem, other than going out and buying a Mac desktop (which, oddly enough, is an idea she's considering).
So yeah...yikes.
EDIT: Crisis resolved. All is well up here again. Dunno how, don't care. (And the POS anti-virus software that was apparently responsible for all this is gone.)
