Just read an article on Excite.com about our dear President Bush trying to create a federal BAN on homosexual marriages.
Three words, Georgey boy: WHAT THE FUCK!? When the hell did it become the government's business who someone decides they want to spend the rest of their lives with!? This isn't a political issue you moron, it's a PRIVATE issue! As far as two guys or gals getting hitched goes, the only 2 persons of whom it's any business are the two saying "I do". It's none of the preacher's business, it's none of their family's business, it's none of my business, and it CERTAINLY ain't any of Washington DC's business!
"Marriage is between a man and a woman"?! What orifice did you pull THAT one out of, Bush? There is NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING anywhere on the planet where marriage is defined that way! Marriage is simply between two (or more...but that's another issue.) people who love and care for each other so much that they want to be there for each other forever and simply wish to have a nice little bit of finalization for it. What's hiding behind the fly of their Levi's means precisely jack shit as long as love is there.
And then of course you've got Dubya's supporters, like a certain Mr. Franklin Graham...Graham as in son of part time pastor, full time intolerant prick Billy Graham. Their reasoning for shooting down same-sex marriages? To quote that Excite article, Franky said that "we could lose marriage in this country the way we know it." Well y'know what? GOOD! LET IT BE LOST! Haven't you seen how many of all marriages here right now end in divorce these days? This country NEEDS a rethink on what being married means! ...Or maybe that's exactly what they're afraid of. Who knows, maybe they just don't want gay couples to get married because they're afraid their relationships will actually WORK or something, I dunno. Just random speculation there.
But still, the fact remains that nobody, certainly not Congress or King George II here, has any moral or legal right to try and make outlaws of people for whom gender doesn't serve as a boundary of the heart. Just let them be already, sheesh.
