1 Mar 2010 23:36Passengers are onboard. Plane's loading cargo, and everyone at our little airport is packing up for the night.
Car's warmed up. Sitting in the parking lot (regulations prohibit any of us from leaving until the last plane of the night is off the ground) listening to the radio.
Then this comes on...one of my favorite songs in the world.
And just as the guitar solo before the final chorus hits its last, high, long-held note? A moment which I can only describe as "Guitar Nirvana"?
Takeoff.
Could not have been timed more perfectly.
That, friends, is a beautiful way to finish up the day. ^_^
