Oops.

Somehow I let myself get drawn into a debate earlier today with a bunch of folks who apparently think the Earth is flat.

MISTAKE. D:

The problems with scripted events in games...

Walking into Dawnstar on my newest (Breton female Conjurer) file for the first time, I walked past the Jarl's keep, where he was having a little chat with some folks he suspected of being Imperial spies trying to undermine the Stormcloaks' efforts. I got a chuckle out of this line:

"If I catch you sending one letter off to General Tullius, I'll have you both executed."

You'd think the news that said General Tullius had been slain (and that, in fact, the Stormcloaks had won the war) over, in game time, two months ago would have gotten here by now. (Hence the chuckle.)

And I thought the scripted stuff was bad....

This little gem was purely random chance:

-A dragon attacks outside Solitude.
-Me and about 5 Stormcloak guards take the thing on, kill it, and drop it to the ground.
-Another guard walks by as I'm in the middle of absorbing the thing's soul and makes the following randomly-chosen statement:

"Gotta keep my eyes open...damned dragons could attack from out of nowhere!"

That was 2 hours ago...I still haven't stopped laughing.
