You know that airline simulator I was griping about the other day on Tumblr, the one where my partner and I were constantly going bankrupt?
We'd finally hit upon a way of handling things that worked. No more long-distance cross-country crap, just small planes making short hops all day long. For 2 whole days, roughly a month and a half in game time, they not only turned a profit, but turned such a significant one that we were well on our way to making back everything we'd invested this go round!
Last night, I got an email. He wants to know how we should go about expanding our market. My immediate answer is "DON'T." We've got something that works; don't fuck with it.
...He does anyway, buying 2 new, significantly bigger aircraft, and having them do routes to New Orleans and St. Louis.
That was this morning, when were at about $16 million. We're now $7,215,814 in the hole.
