Vegas trip stuff, final entry.
Spent most of yesterday down around the Venetian, picking up a few items at Fashion Show Mall I'd forgotten to the previous time. Being able to wander around was quite nice (thank you Extra Strength Excedrin!), even if there weren't really any stores I wanted to hit aside from the Apple Store.
Jeff, the guy working there who helped me find the plug I needed, was pretty cool; I forget how, but at one point while we were talking computer stuff the conversation slipped to Crono Trigger, and suddenly we were testing each other's knowledge of the game to see who could remember the most obscure crap about the game.I ultimately won once I gave him detailed directions on picking up the most useless Triple Tech in the game, right down to the mook. (GEEKPWNED.)
After that, it was off to my last show for this trip: Blue Man Group. I would say it was just as excellent as the last 2 times I've gone, but for some reason, one particular act that I'm fond of, involving manipulating the band/audience/stage with a pair of light-wands (the kind they use to guide airplanes...one of which ends up rolling in from the side of the stage!), wasn't done this year. :[ Rest of the show kicked all sorts of ass, though, so it's all good. Plus, now I've got a shirt to go with the jacket I bought 2 years ago (still say that's the best $75 I've ever spent!), so WOO!
Once I got back to the hotel, it was time to get packed and get ready for my eventual trip to the airport this morning...got everything ready to go at a moment's notice and set the alarm for 6:30 so that I could make the airport by 7 so as to, hopefully, make it through check-in and security before my 9 AM flight.
Long story short: Woke up at 5:40 for some reason (never could sleep more than 5 hours here), decided to roll with it, and was through security, had a Cinnabon, and got to my gate before my alarm would have even gone off.
....Or rather, did go off. Now that I think about it, I forgot to shut it off.
Whoops. O_o;;
Well, in any case, Vegas was fun and all, but I think I'm ready to go home.

The Triple Tech in question can be acquired in the Denadora Mountains, where you fought Masa & Mune for the hilt of the broken Masamune. With Frog at the front of the party, head to the screen with the lone Free Lancer throwing rocks at you, and allow Frog to get pelted with them until he snatches one out of the air.
He'll draw his blade, challenge the Free Lancer, and the rock he caught will begin to glow and turn into the Gold Rock, which allows him, Marle, and Robo to use the "Grand Dream" Triple Tech, the most useless one of them all.
It achieves this status due to doing pitiful damage unless the entire party is low on HP, and requiring Frog to have the Frog Squash technique...which will do the same amount of damage and only requires HIM to have low HP. Basically, when you could do the entire party deal 9999 damage with Grand Dream, you can have Frog deal 9999 damage with Frog Squash and have Marle & Robo heal the party.
If you're gonna utilize any of the Rock-granted Triple Techs, your best bet, to me, is to go with Ayla/Marle/Lucca's "Poyozo Dance" off the White Rock found in the Black Dream (Black Omen to SNES-era CT players). Mostly because those three also have some of the best Double Techs (like Marle/Ayla's Double Charm to swipe the special items from Ozzie, Flea, and Slash, and Marle/Lucca's Antipode 3 to NUKE THE CRAP OUT OF STUFF), plus then you've got an excellent healer, a solid magic user, and the 2 most devastating physical attacks in the game: Ayla's Triple Kick and, at max level, the critical hits off her Bronze Fist (max damage guaranteed).
...WHY IN HEAVEN'S NAME DO I REMEMBER ALL THIS?!
