After all the feedback I'd gotten on ALOHA, I figured I'd probably take a hiatus from making videos for a while.

As of 5 minutes ago, however, my next project, tentatively titled "HAL" for now, is fully planned out. Only thing I haven't chosen on is the music for the credits. I think I may choose something a little shorter this time, given some of the things folks had to say about an 11-minute movie hitting its ending at the 7:30 mark. XP

Did run into one snag on it, though: I got tired of hunting down clips to piece together on YouTube, especially since the quality between them was often pretty vast. So what am I to do?

Well, let's put it this way: $40 for Season 1 ain't a bad price. With any luck, it'll all be done downloading by morning.

Well, I should've seen this coming...

The video quality is much better, and the tv station ad-stuff in the corner is gone....but thanks to iTunes' DRM, I can't load the episodes into YTM, meaning that I can't use them.

In short: Fuck.

There's no DRM in existence that can't be broken! Even if it's just by recording the screen in CamStudio.

Seems you were correct. Cost me another $40 in software, but I found just the thing for it. By about 3 tomorrow morning they should all be ready for use. (26 episodes, roughly 20 minutes a piece, and it works in real time.)

Guess Project HAL will be started this weekend.

Okay, so due to a couple of videos glitching out "3 tomorrow morning" became "3 this afternoon," but still, job done! Now I can...let my desktop cool off for the day and get ready for a weekend of video making, actually. XP
