xaq_the_aereon: I caught it...now what? (ILS-Willexia)

Some thoughts on things like SOPA and ACTA.

Since the family and I are on vacation this weekend, we stopped at the cineplex here in Anchorage to catch a movie; they watched Act of Valor, while I went for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.

It was there, in the previews shown before the films, that I saw the real cause of the entertainment industry losing so much money:

They waste so much of it on ridiculous crap like this.

Honestly, what kind of acid trip inspired this?

Wow, talk about serious historical inaccuracy. The construction project for the Washington Monument was put on hold from 1854 to 1877, that's why there's a obvious change in the color of the stones. Means it wouldn't have been hard to digitally recreate that in post production... talk about lazy.

This is putting aside the rest of it, though the book it was based on does look like interesting fluff to read.

OBJECTION!!

Movies based on video games are already presumed to be ridiculous. You know that. :b

When I first saw the Van Helsing film with Hugh Jackman, it was obvious to me that this was a film by someone who had played too much Castlevania and Devil May Cry. This one... is a film made by someone who has played too much Castlevania and Devil May Cry and taken too many hallucinogenic drugs.
