What was your inspiration for the color palette and overall aesthetic of this one? I know of two actual Rhapsody of Fire albums with a similar enough title to have made me declare that "Victory or Calorie" was plausible for our feathery parody, but ... neither of them really look like that. (One basically looks like an Iron Maiden album, and it looks a little out of place compared to the rest of their catalogue but it has a demon-lizard-whatever-it-is foot so I'm not complaining. The other was done by the guy who did most of the old-school D&D guidebook covers and it shows.)
Actually, looking at that link with their overall discography, it looks like you went for the Frozen Tears of Angels/From Chaos to Eternity aesthetic again? Actually, that works, too; it definitely fits in next to the last one, and looks great overall. I love the trail of pigeons--conveying the sense of motion and movement like that makes it very appropriate for the scene in the actual game in which we see the actual Victory or Calorie sign.
Oh God I just gave semi-serious artistic feedback on a Rhapsody of Feathers Photoshop, help
Actually, my whole modus operandi this go-round was searching Google Image for various things and just going with stuff that my brain said "Yeah, that looks good" to.
This was artistic freestyle, pure and simple; I just grabbed a handful of ideas, tossed them at the wall, and saw what stuck, with no prior idea of what I was gonna come up with.
On a more positive note, this time I *DID* remember to save the band logo, so I won't have to remake it again! :D
