As I mentioned in a reply to my last post, in order to playtest a new card game concept, I needed some index cards to make some proxies.
The main problem there is that index cards, being 3x5 inches in size, are a bit of a pain to shuffle. 3x2.5 cards, however, are pretty easy to shuffle. The problem -there-, however, is that cutting a stack of index cards in half is tedious and, if you try to safe time by cutting thicker stacks of them simultaneously, a bit of a hand cramp.
Then part of my brain reminded me that I've gotten fairly decent with our table saw while working on my carpentry projects...
Well, I'll let you fill in the details yourselves, but the long story short here is that as a result of what I can only categorize as a horrendously stupid idea, I had to get another stack of index cards.
