Okay, so last night this post was made as a means to gripe about how UAA apparently hadn't processed my application to start receiving VA benefits.

...As their reply to me this morning cleared up, it's because....well, there's no soft way of putting this...I screwed up. I sent the application in too early in the process; it's supposed to be sent after you apply for classes, and I hadn't done that yet, so the one I sent in wasn't good for anything and, as a result, basically got nixed.

So I filled it out again, got it right this time, and within the next 2 weeks I'll have an answer.

The people responsible for processing (part of the excruciatingly long process of) my immigration did that, as well - they sent a batch of papers back to me saying that I'd applied too early and that I was meant to wait until at most 90 days from the deadline, as part of their more general magnetic repellence of efficiency. At least they told me rather than keeping quiet about it...!
