More specifically for Teo and Kaye, since they're the ones I see doing this...

How do you get those images to show up in place of webcam input when we're doing the Google Hangouts? I don't mind having a black screen for mine, but I'd kinda like to start using this new LJ icon for them instead.

I honestly don't know. It's my Google avatar/icon/whatever it was in general and pretty much has been since I signed up for G+, so when I started the hangouts, I guess it just ... pulled it from that?

Edit: Wild guess, could there maybe be some sort of difference between "let's go to the webcam channel even though the webcam itself is not on" (thus getting the blank black screen) and "let's not even go to the webcam channel at all" (thus getting an icon instead?) I don't even have a webcam. Though ... I think Kaye does, so maybe I'm wrong on that. I'm speculating about how to fix a problem that honestly never happened to me, this is complete wild guesswork at best, sorry. :(

If that's the case, I'm screwed...my webcam's built-in and is an unchangeable default option. I can't switch it off anywhere. :[

I unplugged my webcam and it didn't change anything.
