xaq_the_aereon: I caught it...now what? (Ryouta)

Budgie's voicing Tohri with a German accent, so I got the idea in my head to see what our name for him, "Rainbowbeaks," would be in that language.

Rainbow = Regenbogen
Beak = Schnabel

So, if at some point in our next video, you hear me refer to him as "Regenschnabel," there you go.

You're probably aware, but I should warn you that the abbreviation shortens him to just "Rainbeak"! German only has two settings, very angry and very camp, and even the camp things seem angry. Regenbogen und Schmetterlingen! Die Regenbogenschnabel hat meine Schule mit einen Otakugewehr explodiert. (Is not a sentence for which I ever anticipated I would have to work out the grammar.)

Yeah, I knew that, but "Regenbogenschnabel" was just too blasted long when sounded out; it's like trying to sound out a W when using it in place of a 2-syllable word starting with the letter. So I just shortened it.

Also, my apologies on inducing that sentence. o_O;

Such a problem is no obstacle to the Germans ;) You can just keep bolting ideas on to a word until you get single words that mean things like "The law concerning the supervision and labelling of beef", Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz.

(Take that, journal template)
