It's been a while since I've been inspired to do one of these, and last night the idea just struck out of nowhere. This one in particular was inspired by chapter 13 of the Hatoful Kareshi manga, where St. Pigeonation's gets overrun with mushrooms.
Originally I was considering titling it "Blackreach's Judgment," after the colossal (and rather beautiful) underground area of Skyrim that's home to some absolutely humongous fungi (as in "fall off the top of one and the impact with the ground will kill you" tall), but I decided that this was a Hatoful spoof rather than an Elder Scrolls spoof.
So instead, I fired up Google Translate and put "invasion of mushroom" in, opting to translate it to Latin. What came up was "incursio fungus," but I thought fungus was a bit too blatant. Checking its other translations popped up "boletus," which sounded a bit cooler. With a bit of fudging around, I found that "boletor" was another form of "mushroom" (though its default translation is "CEP" for some reason), and I knew that I had it.
So there you have it: The Incursion of Boletor...aka the Invasion of Mushrooms. Accurate, yet somewhat more awesome sounding...even if it sounds like some sort of Mario spoof where Peach gets her revenge on Bowser.
