After taking my new computer out to Best Buy to see if they could take care of the fan issues, it is no longer being a noisy nuisance. As it turns out, there wasn't really anything that could be done for the cooling fan issue, so I returned it.
Ah well, thing was a bit fuglier in person than on the article anyway...now I just need to a replacement for the replacement. :/
