xaq_the_aereonOnce again 105.1 FM provides me with entertainment at the church's expense...this time in the form of www.godsaidmansaid.com, aka The Ultimate Religion/Science Bitchslap Catfight.
This is yet another Christianocentric webpage that tries to debunk the findings of science with nothing more than passages from the Bible and a few rather ridiculous scientific claims of their own.
They come up with their own ridiculous claims on the dinosaurs, smack down such things as body piercings and tattoos, and even apparently make a claim that the only other lifeforms in the whole UNIVERSE are angels...I must say, certainly sounds retarded to try and downtalk hundreds of years of research with ancient irrational dogma.
What I love most about it, though, is it's rather harsh attack on homosexuals, putting forth time and again the idea that homosexuality is a choice.
Now I could easily spend the next 20 minutes spewing off stuff to the point of "WTF is your GLITCH!?", but I'll put it as simply as I can by asking a question:
With the way gay people have been treated throughout history, then tell me honestly...if it was a choice, who would be insane enough to choose it!?
...That's it.

A couple of my friends the other day were talking with me about their God at lunch today, trying to figure out why I turned away from him...as such, I just thought I'd take a minute or two to explain to those few readers out there who want to thump my skull with Gideon's Hotel Doorstop why I don't trust the Bible as much as they'd like me to...and I'll even be so kind as to do some from my former Christian view of things, the very way I looked at it just before deciding not to take it verbatim anymore, to make it easier to understand:
Even going back only to the time of Jesus, the Bible's been around for 2 millenia now. Two thousand years where it has been subjected to what it itself claims is the most vile power on Earth: MAN. Even if it WAS the word of God at first, it's been subjected to countless ages of additions, omitions, re-writes, mistranslations, and other ways that it's since been mutated from "the word of God" to "the word of God how Man wants it to be", blasted from "Holy Scripture" to "Full-O-Holes Scripture".
So unless someone teaches me Hebrew and puts every inch of the VERY FIRST Bible in my hands, forget it, I ain't buyin' it.
